GRADING SYSTEM

Grades in the Music room are based on 1) participation and 2) conduct.  The following guide shows how points and grades are lowered:

 

PARTICIPATION

first offense:  verbal warning

second offense:  written warning

Each subsequent offense will result in 15 pts. deducted from the participation grade.

S = 100-85

N = 84-70

U = 69-below

 

RECORDERS:  (4th & 5th only)  If a student does not come prepared for class without his/her recorder:

first offense:  written warning

second offense:  loss of 15 pts. on Participation grade

Each subsequent offense will result in an additional 15 pts. deducted from the participation grade.

 

CONDUCT

Conduct grades are only labelled as S, N, & U.  They are assigned as follows:

first offense:  verbal warning

second offense:  written warning

third offense:  grade lowered to N

fourth offense:  grade lowered to U
