Dear Parents,

Thank you for a wonderful beginning of school! All students are settling in and working hard. We have accomplished a lot during the first weeks of school! ITBS tesing is complete, the BMS softball team is off to a great start, students have been practicing with the high school band, and GFL football has gotten underway. And, I'm sure I've left off lots of other activities!

All students at BMS are being taught in accordance wtih the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). Please feel free to contact your child's teachers if you have any questions about the standards-based curriculum.

Please continue to review school rules and procedures with your child. These can be found in your child's agenda. The children are doing a great job with following these guidelines! Thanks for your help.

Please note the important dates on the calendar, but here are a few reminders:

• September 4, 2007 - Fundraiser Kick-Off! We need your help!!
• September 12, 2007 - Progress Reports
• September 17, 2007 - Five Guys Burgers and Fries Night. Please plan to eat at Five Guys. They are one of our business partners and they will donate 15% of their sales for the evening.
• September 24, 2007 - Fall Pictures
