Is your child too sick for school?

Early in the morning it is often difficult to make a decision about whether or not your child is sick enough to stay home from school.  With minor symptoms you often cannot tell whether he is going to get better or worse during the course of the day.
The main reasons for keeping your child home are:

If he is too sick to be comfortable at school.

If he might spread a contagious disease to other children.

Remember to always make sure that the school knows how to reach you during the day, and that there is a back-up plan and phone number on file if we cannot reach you.

Parents will be called & students sent home with: lice/nits, temp. of 100.4 or greater, vomiting, diarrhea, wide spread rash, persistent pain, frequent cough, and/or other as determined by Nurse.

Your child must be free of the above symptoms for 24 hrs. before returning to school. Also, if your child has any of the above symptoms before coming to school in the morning please keep them home until they are symptom free for 24 hrs.
