This is my tenth year teaching art at Buford Middle School.  I have the best job in the world!  Each grade draws, does computer art and works with clay or paper mache.  Depending on the grade level, we may paint, weave, work with linear perspective or do a paper project.

Each spring we conduct an auction of butterfly paintings.  The proceeds go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Click on the link below to see a powerpoint of last year's butterflies.  We made over $400 for St. Jude!

Eighth grade paper project - students were given one sheet of newspaper and a foot of tape.  On Wednesday they had to construct a machine, Thursday a musical instrument and Friday a piece of furniture.  Click below to see some examples including the ones selected as most creative and showing best craftsmanship.

The Wolf

Each year the seventh graders draw a wolf from this photo.  If you weren't able to finish yours in class, you might be able to work from this one.  What a beautiful animal!
