The vision of Buford City Schools is to provide opportunities for students to gain the knowledge, values and skills necessary to be productive life-long learners in a changing society.
Middle school is a period of transition from elementary to high school. Students strengthen and expand the skills taught in the lower grades and explore new areas of learning to help develop interests, identify talents, and sharpen skills. Buford Middle School provides a supportive and caring environment which gives the students opportunities to develop responsibility, to foster autonomy, and to interact successfully with peers, school staff, parents, and community.
Middle school years are an excellent time to develop good life-long habits. The school and communtity collaborate to provide a variety of physical activities needed to establish a routine of healthful living. Likewise, it is the responsibility of the school, in conjunction with the community, to help students participate in the democratic process and establish the habits of productive citizens.
