EMERGENCY WEATHER CONDITIONS

Early morning weather conditions created by floods, severe ice, snowstorms, or other weather related emergencies sometimes make it necessary to close schools. The district has a plan for the emergency closings, delayed openings, and early closings if deemed necessary by emergencies or severe weather conditions. The following radio/TV stations will carry this information:

WSB 750 AM

The superintendent will make the final decision for school closings. The decision will be made by 6:00 am if at all possible.

Dear Parents,

We are off to a great start this year! Thank you for all your support and trust as we have kicked off this school year. Please be sure to check with your child periodically for our newsletters. They will be coming home around the first of each month.

Upcoming Dates:

August 18th: Curriculum Night (6:30 p.m.)
Please plan to be here. The teachers are anxious to share with you their expectations for your child!

September 24th: Parent Night (5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
This night will be about letting you choose a couple of topics/mettings to attend. We will be providing hot dogs and childcare! Please watch for more information.

General Information:

Our PTO is really working hard! They are looking for members and you are a wonderful candidate! Please see a member to discover the great things membership can provide for you and your child.
Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions. They are great about helping you with a variety of issues!
This year, we are going to discourage all interruptions of the day for teachers and students. Please be sure to send your child with everything necessary for the day!
We appreciate your help in filling out those first day forms as quickly as possible. We are better able to meet the needs of your child when we have all of their information!
Thanks in advance for signing the agendas regularly. This is a wonderful tool for communication!
Last, but not least...Car Riders!! Please pull forward to the sign that reads, "Begin drop off and pick-up here". We will be loading and unloading cars all the way around the sidewalk! Encourage your child to watch for you and to be prepared to get into the car quickly. It will also be a big help for us if you are not on your cell phones and are paying close attention to the safety of our students.
