The Buford Band is a comprehensive program for grades six through twelve that provides its members with many opportunities to learn about and perform music.  The band directors of Buford Middle School and Buford High School work together closely to provide the best experience possible for all Buford Band members.

Band classes meet every day during school.  Members who qualify may also join the BMS Jazz Band, which meets during the SSR period four days each week.

Buford Middle School Band includes the following ensembles:

  -Sixth Grade Concert Band

  -Seventh Grade Concert Band

  -Eighth Grade Concert Band

  -Symphonic Band

  -Jazz Band

  -Various other small ensembles

  -Select Eighth Grade Band members are invited to march in the award-winning

      Buford High School Marching Band of Wolves.

BMS Bands have been awarded over fifteen "Superior" ratings over the past ten years at GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation, Trills & Thrills Music Festival, High Note Music Festival, and Carowinds Music Festival.
