Division of Technology and Information Services
The Technology Department of Buford City Schools has a deep appreciation for the role that technology can play in furthering the educational mission of the system and contributing to student achievement. Buford City Schools is fortunate to have the support of the Board of Education, businesses, and the community who firmly believe in the potential for technology to benefit education and the school system’s diverse student population. The challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, to convert potential into reality, will require an unprecedented degree of creative leadership from administration and teachers at all levels.
Through the efforts of consultants, RESAs, conferences, in-services, and workshops, school personnel will continue to be trained in the innovative uses of technology and integrating it into instructional and administrative tasks. We strive to ensure that all teachers not only know how to use the technology that is available to them, but that they have the ability to integrate it into their everyday instructional endeavors. We provide ongoing programs of professional development for all personnel. With the rapid pace with which technology continues to evolve, we have made provisions for continually maintaining and upgrading equipment as well as the instructional programs it supports.
