Students with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 18 -25 who have a personal desire - and support from family- to gain skills for self-determination, independent living, and career development at the University of Georgia.

Georgia Tech-

EXCEL Program

The Excel Program offered by the Georgia Institute of Technology is a four-year college program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) leading to two separate Certificates. The first is a Certificate in Academic Enrichment, Social Fluency, and Career Exploration and the second is a Certificate in Social Growth, Leadership, and Career Development.

Georgia State University-

IDEAL Program

The Inclusive Digital Expression and Literacy (IDEAL) Program is an inclusive post-secondary program for students with mild intellectual disabilities. In the heart of Atlanta, IDEAL takes advantage of being in a global hub for media and the arts.

KSU Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth 

A fully inclusive post-secondary college education and experience to students with different intellectual or developmental abilities who do not meet higher-education requirements for admission as a degree-seeking student. The program involves enrollment as non-degree seeking audit students in typical university courses and includes social integration, career exploration and training.

Georgia Southern University-

CHOICE Program

(East Campus)

The CHOICE Program for Inclusive Learning is a program of study for highly motivated learners identified as having an intellectual disability. It is a two-year, four-semester, program that applies the principles of experiential learning, academic enrichment, socialization, self-advocacy skills and integrated work experiences that lead to gainful employment.

Georgia Southern University-

Eagle Academy

EAGLE Academy inclusive post-secondary education program is a two-year certificate program of study which teaches independent living and career skills and empowers students to achieve Equal Access to Gainful Learning and Employment (EAGLE).

Columbus State University-

GOALS Program

The Guidance and Opportunities for Academic and Leadership Success (GOALS) Program at Columbus State University is a two-year certificate program that provides a college experience for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Typical applicants are those who received special education services for a developmental disability (i.e., intellectual disability) through most of their K-12 schooling and have graduated high school with an alternative diploma (i.e., special education diploma, certificate of attendance, etc.).

Albany Technical College-

LEAP Program

The Leveraging Education for Advancement Program (LEAP) is an Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program (IPSE). The LEAP program at Albany Technical College (ATC) is designed to provide students with an intellectual disability ages 18 and older, an inclusive post-secondary college education experience. LEAP focuses on developing academic, personal, and self-advocacy skills that lead to employment. Each participant works closely a trained mentor to assist students in meeting their academic and social needs.

Georgia College and State University- THRIVE Program

GC THRIVE is an Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) Program that enables young adults with intellectual disabilities, ages 18-28, to attend college with their non-disabled peers. The program is committed to providing an inclusive, meaningful college experience for students so they can develop the social, academic, career, and independent living skills that will support them to live authentic and fulfilling lives.

Berry College Program for Inclusive Learning

The Berry College Program for Inclusive Learning is designed for individuals ages 18-26 with an intellectual disability who are highly motivated to continue learning and acquiring skills to contribute meaningfully as a fully engaged participant in their communities.
