FY2021-2022 In-person Learning
The Buford City School System announced next year's digital learning option in a letter sent April 23, 2021, from the Office of Student Achievement.
All BCS students will be scheduled for in-person instruction. However, BCS will provide an online learning option for in-district families who choose to opt-out of in-person instruction due to COVID-19 health-related concerns.
BCS teachers will not provide the instruction for the online 2021-2022 school year and that the district will use a third-party organization called Edgenuity.
Online courses offered through the Edgenuity platform will be limited and require semester-long commitments from students and parents.
To opt-out of in-person instruction, parents must submit a registration form by Friday, May 14, 2021, at 4 pm.
As the School District's active cases have continued to decline, decisions regarding COVID-19 protocols will be made closer to the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. These decisions will be based on guidance and collaboration with state and local health officials.
Below you will find frequently asked questions (FAQ) documents to assist in understanding the process for opting out of in-person learning.
