Non-Resident/Tuition Information for the 2026-2027 School Year
Current Tuition Yearly Amount: $2,000.00
Applications will be accepted for Kindergarten and Ninth Grade ONLY.
We are not taking any applications for any other grade levels.
NON-RESIDENT/TUITION INFORMATION
Non-resident students may apply to attend Buford City Schools for the 2026-2027 school year. Your child must be an upcoming Kindergarten or Ninth Grade Student to apply. As a non-resident/tuition student, four standards must be met during your child’s enrollment in Buford City Schools. Additionally, tuition students are expected to attend all classes in person on the BCSS campus. Intermittently throughout the school year, these standards will be evaluated.
These standards include:
1. High Academic Performance - students must maintain an A/B average in all classes
2. Excellent Attendance
3. Exemplary Behavior
4. Parental Support - tuition must be paid on time, and parents must support and respect the learning process/institution
Non-resident students are subject to suspension, expulsion, or revocation of their tuition status if they violate these standards or the school system rules.

KINDERGARTEN
The 2026-2027 Kindergarten tuition application is now closed.
9TH GRADE
The 2026-2027 9th-grade tuition application is now closed.
The window for the acceptance of applications is listed below each grade level.
Kindergarten Application - January 7 through January 23, 2026
Ninth Grade Application - January 7 through January 30, 2026
KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION
APPLICATION WINDOW: January 7, 2026 through January 23, 2026
- Provided the tuition application is submitted within the tuition window, the order in which we receive applications will not impact the selection process.
- The following items MUST be submitted with the application online:
- Authorization to Release Information/Preschool Teacher Contact Information (allows us to contact the preschool teacher via email or phone directly) - this is not a separate form; it is embedded into the online application
- Copy of IEP, 504 Plan, RTI, Speech, or ESOL paperwork (if applicable) - must be uploaded at the time of application.
- $250.00 Application Fee is due at the time you make application
- The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid online at the time of application.
- If the student is accepted, the $250 will apply toward the tuition amount due.
- All information must be submitted and the application fee paid in order for your application to be marked complete.
- A screening will be conducted at the school. A link will be provided in the application to sign up for a time slot. Once the screening has been completed, your application will be reviewed by the school’s administrative staff. You will be notified of the final decision from the school. Final correspondence does not come from the Central Office.
NINTH GRADE INFORMATION
APPLICATION WINDOW: January 7, 2026 through January 30, 2026
- Provided the tuition application is submitted within the tuition window, the order in which we receive applications
will not impact the selection process.
- The following items MUST be submitted at the time of application:
- 1st Semester Report Card for the Current 2025-2026 School Year
- 2 Preceding Years Report Cards (2024-2025 & 2023-2024)
- All Standardized Test Scores
- Discipline Report (If none, a note stating no discipline on file.)
- Copy of IEP, 504 Plan, RTI, Gifted Eligibility, Speech, or ESOL Paperwork (if applicable)
- $250.00 Application Fee is due at the time you make application.

- The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid online at the time of application.
- If the student is accepted, the $250 will apply toward the tuition amount due.
- You will be called or emailed by the school to schedule an interview. Someone from the school will contact you to set that up.
- All information must be submitted and the application fee paid in order for your application to be marked complete.
- Once everything is complete, the application will be reviewed by the school’s administrative staff.
- You will be notified of the final decision from the school. Final correspondence does not come from the Central Office.
