Bus Driver Breakfast

BHS Food and Nutrition Science classes honor bus drivers

Buford High School Food and Nutrition Science classes hosted the BCSS bus drivers for an appreciation breakfast this morning at the high school.
Food and Nutrition Science teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Lopez, has been doing this event for several years at her former school.
Lopez said, "I love that this event provides an opportunity for students to serve those that serve them! We have so much fun getting to school early and cooking breakfast! Events like this allow students to put what they learn in class into practice. We are all thankful for our BCS bus drivers!"
Food and Nutrition Science student Whitney L. said, "It's nice to give back. People forget how much the bus drivers do. It's important to show them appreciation."

Drew S. said it was a fun event that honors those who might not always get told thank you for their jobs.

Aubrey S. also reiterated that it made him feel good to see the bus drivers this morning enjoying their breakfast.
According to Mrs. Lopez, this will become an annual event. She hopes it will help students and bus drivers build community by appreciating one another's service.
