Curriculum & Instruction
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction for Buford City Schools (BCS) is committed to fostering a supportive environment for our entire community. We aim to accomplish this by providing innovative professional development programs, engaging instructional strategies and materials, and supportive instructional services. Our primary goal at BCS is to empower educators to equip every student with the skills they need to succeed as globally competitive critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, responsible individuals, and productive citizens.
Our dedicated and highly qualified educators are committed to lifelong learning, holding advanced degrees, multiple certifications, and endorsements. We offer exceptional facilities and maintain a safe, vibrant academic environment that fosters optimal learning.
Our instructional framework is grounded in a strong commitment to Georgia’s K-12 Standards in Math and Language Arts as well as Georgia’s Standards of Excellence for all other subjects. To enhance the learning experience, we utilize BCS-adopted and BCS-approved instructional materials that support all the standards. This approach allows us to offer our students a well-rounded and enriching educational experience.
